I. Overview

According to the principle and performance of the disconnector, it can be divided into hot-melt disconnector and hot-explosive disconnector. The hot-melt disconnector uses the power frequency short-circuit current flowing through the failure arrester to fuse the gold-containing fuse in the disconnector to achieve the purpose of disconnection. Thermal explosive disconnector uses power frequency short circuit current flowing through the failure lightning protection to generate arc in the disconnector and detonate thermal explosive components to achieve the purpose of disconnection.

The standard of disconnector production is GB11032-200 "AC Gapless Metal Oxide Arrester" and IEC.C62 "Requirements for Distribution Arrester disconnector". The operating environment of the disconnector is the same as that of the lightning arrester.
II. Product Characteristics

1. Thermal explosive disconnector

In China's power grid, most of the power systems below 35KV are neutral point non-effective grounding systems, which are different from the direct effective grounding systems of foreign power grids. The fault current of arresters is mostly small current. In view of this characteristic, we draw lessons from foreign companies (such as GE Company of the United States, ABB Company of Sweden, Siemens Company of Germany and other well-known companies). ) Based on the advantages of thermal detachment, RBT-3 and RBT-4 high-efficiency new detachment devices have been developed, which have the following characteristics:

A. Active current has a wide range: combined with the characteristics of China's power grid, it can be separated under large power frequency fault current (> 50A) or small power frequency fault current (> 50mA).

B. Fast detachment speed: It can be combined with reclosing function of circuit breaker. It is not only suitable for various voltage levels and types of arresters, but also for different grounding systems (neutral point effective grounding system and neutral point non-effective grounding system).

C. High mechanical strength and good sealing performance: The separator has high mechanical strength and good sealing performance before it explodes without action. RBT-3 type tensile strength > 2000N, RBT-4 type tensile strength > 4000N, RBT-3 type detachment can be used with arresters below 35KV, and RBT-4 type detachment can be used with arresters between 35 and 220 kv.

E. Easy to install and replace: The disconnector adopts threaded external interface. It is very convenient and reliable to connect with the arrester in series. Once the disconnector is replaced, it is very convenient, time-saving and labor-saving.

2. Hot Melt Separation

The hot melt disconnector uses the power frequency short circuit current flowing through the failure arrester to fuse the low temperature alloy fuse in the disconnector to achieve the purpose of disconnection. Therefore, the time for the hot melt disconnector to disconnect is longer than that of the hot explosion disconnector, and the time for the 50 mA~5A disconnection is 0.8~1.9 min. But when the hot melt disconnector is detached, it will not produce explosive noise, explosive vibration and explosive debris, and will not have any impact on the installation environment.
